Glad to hear that Tim. We now have 6 races left to evaluate and see if we can pull more tweaks before 2020.

Pelle suggested pushing the serverstart to 2030 CET. This would work for me but not sure about the rest of the field. Im fine either which way.

    On a sidenote:

This whole year I have 3 leagueraces in one week, and none in the other (oAo D1, GELI and F1HESL).

Depending on the calenders -and on the developments of my chronic disease and my private life- I will have to cut down a league, or two. Actually as of now I wouldn't like to step down, but if I have to, I will...already quit with GPLRACER 65 cup because of this...

So, in short, I hope these three leagues won't have colliding calenders next year. Ofcourse GPL simracing it isn't about myself, but just making this suggestion, as other racers arguably also have the same problems with this

I think we are pretty much locked in for Thursdays as our raceday so thats not likely to change. What we can do is adapt as much as we can so that we run alternate weeks with either GELI or oAo or possibly both. That way there is more of a 2 + 1 format to it. Andrč is the date setter as he has to work around school holidays and work and such. But as far as its possible we can adapt.

It really sucks to hear about this condition of yours Robert , knowing how much you enjoy gpl. Hope there is some workarounds and\or solutions to this.

No worries Dag. My pain is slowly retreating, and I am more positive and mentally stronger than ever. Also I'm faster than ever with GPL, still improving...

But this chronic disease will eventually leading to kidney failure, but hopefully still have 7-12 years in pre-dialysis traject

PS: everyone has some problems one way or the other. It's not about the amount of shit you encounter in life, but how you deal with it

Bugger! Sorry to learn this, Rob. You're not alone in this, tho. At month's end, I'm to see a nephrology specialist as recent tests have shown my kidneys are showing signs of wear & tear. Swell.

Damn, I thought for a brief moment I had a chance ... now I'm glad you chose the Honda. No fun, really taking the hat off you can improve

    @Doni, wish you the best

My problem is a disc prolapse operation in 2011 that went wrong & I have to take great care of my right hand, arm, shoulder & back, this is why I don't want to run for long races. Especially up to race day, I shouldn't find too many tasks the days before race. Since 2011 I don't think I've improved my GPLRank, maybe a little on my Monster.

The problem is that you love GPL & yes, whatever...in the middle of a race you are so concentrated that you do not feel the pain...until you have seen the man with the checkered flag

Thanks for sharing guys, we all have some probs one way or the other. In my case the least, it's about putting things in perspective, and focussing on the things you still can, and have.

Life isn't fair, but it's still beautiful. This is also still a beautiful planet, despite all it's tinsel, wrong conditioning, wrong rolemodels, and all the suffering. As far I am concerned, everything is exactly as it's supposed to be: it's the first law of the cosmos!

    Just my thoughts and philosophy

PS: sorry to go off-topic so much BTW

Puh...Robert, Doni, Pelle I wish you all the best. Luckily at the moment my body works nearly perfectly as it could be at my age.

Also I would like to see more wear in the races, or slightly longer races (1 hour). Best would be if most would be forced to stop for tires; or if someone could stretch the tires and have a surprise win/result nursing the tires.
(from Roberts post in summer break thread)

Because for a lot of people longer races are painful...it would be possible to increase the wear effect a bit (let's say from 100% to 125%).
I wouldn't change anything on the old 71version, but it would be not much work to bring it in dirtgear8.
Maybe we should try out the six one hour races this season and decide after that if we go on with one hour or increasing wear effect?

That sounds like a good plan Olaf. Would it be possible to have two different versions of the new patch? One with extra tire wear and one "normal".

I would like the wear to play a bigger part in the races for added entertainment value.

I agree with both Olaf and Dag.

A "forced" pitstop, and/or just being on the edge for a no stopper, should spice up the races, and there might be more drivers in the mix as well!

Thanks Olaf for all your work. IMO it always has been very under appreciated, and it's great to see you getting more recognition. Especially with this league.

PS: I have done a 2 hour race last Saturday, so the endurance is still there, here
